Return to our roots and experience nature close up… The Reitbauernhof Farm in Grossarl is situated in a sunny, secluded location on a slope, right by the ski piste 4A. In addition to its prime location the farm also scores points with its owners’, the Gruber Family, affinity to nature. In our cosy rooms and apartments you’ll find everything you’ll need for your summer break or winter holiday in the Salzburger Land.
On your farm holiday enjoy our farm and alpine pasture produce at breakfast time. During the activities for children and guests get to know the Salzburg countryside and life on the farm (feeding the farm animals, creating hay figures, baking bread…). Our highlight for a group, couple or family holiday in Salzburg – rent our hut for 2 – 6 persons and spend a great holiday in the Ski amadé and the Salzburger Sportwelt.
Authenticity, tradition & the love of local nature
The name “Reit” comes from “Reut”, meaning “clearing”. In olden days there was just forest where our farm is now situated at an altitude of 920 m. During the many guest activities we’ll show you and your children traditional life on the farm. The fourth generation of our family is now running the farm in Grossarl. Our main areas are dairy, forestry and alpine pasture farming, cattle and horse breeding, the direct marketing or our produce and renting holiday accommodation. Butter, cheese, jams, sausage meat etc. come from our own production. In addition your children playfully get to know our farm animals such as cows, cats, horses, ducks, hens etc.

We’re very proud to be a quality-tested farm awarded with 3 flowers. However, our utmost concern is to pass on our love of nature and our traditions to our guests on their farm holiday. We, Rupert and Anna, together with our child Rupert, look forward to welcoming you in our rooms and apartments in Grossarl.
